DAY 3: Daniel Muñoz, Salvatore Adamo and Morrissey!

Yesterday‘s festival in Viña del Mar was in full affect with two major international talents performing. The night was opened by Mexican band Camila. The trio’s performance made woman, young and old, go crazy singing their favorite hits as loud as they could. Mario told the audience he wanted to be heard all the way in Mexico. Camila took home a silver and gold Torches and a Seagull. Mario Domm‘s look gave people much to talk about online.

¿De que basurero sacaron al ridículo que se hace llamar Mario Domm?

El Boricua Marc Anthony enchanted the people last night with his salsa. Accompanied by his 16 piece band which included talented musician Jean, brother of Luis Fonsi. The night started with Hector Lavoe’s “Aguanile”. The energy Marc brings to the stage is amazing and you feel it through the TV and over the net.  Many of our readers watched live through our website. Hit after hit Marc made everyone dance and “the monster” was hypnotized by his talent. Marc’s performance raised the euphoria among women that would sing his songs and made him feel very emotional. He mentioned to the host that every time he is asked which has been the “Special” moment in his career, since he has traveled the world, and he always says in this place called Viña del Mar. Emotional and full of energy, Marc was then joined by Jose Luis Perales and they performed “Como es el” together on stage. The crowd lost it and started yelling “Platino, Platino!” which meant they wanted to give him the platinum Seagull which was given to Luis Miguel for the first time ever the night before as a unique award for his 30 years in the music business. Many on Social Media outlets were requesting that he needed to get this prestigious award for such an amazing performance. Marc also took home a Gold and silver Torches as well as a Gold Seagull. To us Marc has been the highlight of the festival thus far and in our opinion he deserved the Platinum Seagull!

Tonight is day 3 of Festival Viña del Mar 2012 and we expect another great night. Chilean Actor Daniel Muñoz will open the Festival followed by Italian Singer and Composer, Salvatore Adamo. But the person I’m really excited to see is Morrissey. As a teenager I was a big fan of The Smiths so hopefully he sings something from The Queen Is Dead? We hope so…

Morrissey had this to say in an Interview:

”If I could, I would play in every town and every city in the country. But I know that, unfortunately, it’s not something you can implement or achieve… I will sing 22 of my best songs as loud as I can, with all my soul and my abilities on the highest level…I feel that the public in Chile acts very similar to people in countries like Mexico. I’ve seen people sing very loud each of the words of my songs. They are very passionate. And what fascinates me is that in most of these countries, I have no more room on the radios, basically, I am not a techno-dance artist. So, I always wonder how so many people in Chile may know about me…”
