Day 5: Viña del Mar 2012 – Luis Fonsi & Prince Royce

Day five is finally here and with it two heart throbs of pop and bachata music. Young girls and woman alike are getting ready to shout at the top of their lungs outside of the Sheraton Miramar Hotel where two of tonight’s stars are staying. Tonight is sure to be a memorable one since these two stars will rock Viña with their romantic pop and Caribean flavors with songs like “Quién te dijo eso”, “Abrazar la vida” and “No me doy por vencido”.  Luis Fonsi will open the night followed by spanish singer Rosana, that has hits like “A Fuego Lento” and “Si tu no estas aqui” will lead the night for the grand finale where the 22 year old Bronx native Prince Royce will perform his hits. Recently Prince Royce took home 4 awards at Premio Lo Nuestro, and we hope to see him take all of them home tonight.

Luis Fonsi tweeted this awesome picture from his hotel room:

Yesterday the stage had national talent, Los Bunkers, who’ve had many hits and always put on a great show. I talked to family in Chile and they were all excited for Rafaga y Garras de Amor. These Cumbia Stars made La Quinta Dance like they hadn’t done on any of other day of the festival. But whats shocking is that they didn’t receive any prizes at all. “El Monstruo” started screaming “Fea la Actitud!” which means Bad Judgement or “ugly attitude” on the part of the presenters Rafael Araneda and Eva Gómez. Many people said it was disrespectful on their part because they are the ones who guide the show and make sure the artists receive the recognition they deserve by presenting them with awards based on the audiences reaction. Which did not happen in this case… Watch the video  What Do you think?

Tomorrow will bring the festival to its end and with that a set from two music legends, Jose Luis Perales and Juan Luis Guerra!

What a show! Don’t miss the live transmission via internet here: http://www.vina2012.cl/index.cfm?seccion=envivo
