Girl in Progress will be out on Mother’s Day weekend. It’s a story of a dysfunctional mother-daughter relationship and shows the everyday struggles of raising a teenage daughter. Eva Mendes plays Grace, a single mom that juggles work, bills, and an affair with married man, who also happens to be her employer. The trailer shows a few moments where Ansiedad the daughter, played by Cierra Ramirez, seems to be maturing faster than her mom. We also get to see Eugenio Derbez in this film, might he be playing Eva’s new love interest in the movie? We’re not sure..
The movie was directed by Patricia Riggen, who also directed Under The Same Moon.
Girl In Progress hits theaters on May 11th, mother’s day weekend. This is the perfect mother’s day movie, so if I where you I would get my tickets fast and set a date with mom.
