Last night St. Jude celebrated their 50th anniversary at the 3rd annual Gala por la Vida Fundraiser. It was held at the famous Copacabana in NY and featured many of today’s top Latin and mainstream celebrities.
In attendance at the red carpet was Kika Rocha from People en Español, Musicians- Arturo Sandoval, Valentino, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Sammi Benz and Pablo Montero. For the past 50 years St. Jude has been finding cures and saving the lives of children with cancer, pushing overall survival rates of childhood cancer from 20 to 80 percent. St. Jude is a one of a kind research hospital dedicated to providing free care for families that can’t afford the high costs for treatment of pediatric cancer. It costs $1.7 million to run the facility and 75% of that comes from public donations. The night’s events, hosted by Carlito Fuente Jr., included musical performances, a raffle and a live Auction.
